A Mindfulness Community in the Plum Village Tradition

Our Community

The Winston-Salem Community of Mindful Living practices mindfulness in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. We convene three times per week online and in person to practice sitting and walking meditation, read and share inspiring works, and discuss our practice of mindfulness to deepen our mindfulness, concentration, and insight.

Our Philosophy

We follow the Five Mindfulness Trainings of the Plum Village tradition. We are nonsectarian and invite insights and perspectives from all spiritual and religious traditions. Our meetings are open to all without the need for any meditation or mindfulness experience. There are no fees or dues for participating in the community.

Our Practitioners

The Community is co-facilitated by Tim Auman, former Chaplain of Wake Forest University, and lay Dharma teacher Scott Schang.
